Fellowship Program

Description

The fellowship program provides formal training and experience in the design, implementation, analysis, and publication of drug therapy outcomes research.  This is accomplished through a combination of coursework, applied informatics, protocol development, and submission of grants for independent research funding.  Other activities include teaching, presenting and publishing the results of the fellow's work.  All activities are performed under the guidance of the Center's faculty.  This fellowship will lead to career opportunities in academia, industry, and managed care.

Academic Content

The fellowship program provides the opportunity for academic training in outcomes through various didactic coursework. The coursework is tailored to meet the fellow's educational needs and career goals.  Courses are offered from a variety of Schools including the Schools of Pharmacy, Information Sciences, and Graduate School of Public Health.   Courses can be integrated throughout the 2-year fellowship program. If desired, fellows have the opportunity to pursue a Masters or PhD degree.  

Eligibility

Applicants should possess a PharmD degree (or equivalent experience) from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.  Additional clinical experience such as a pharmacy practice or specialty residency is preferred. Individuals with degrees in other health-related fields are encouraged to apply.
