Research Themes
Judith Gavaler, PhDis a Research Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. She received a BS in Chemistry from Hood College at Frederick, MD and earned her PhDdegree in Epidemiology from the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health. She has returned to the University of Pittsburgh from Oklahoma City where she was a director of the Women's Health Research Program at Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.
Patricia Kroboth, PhDis Professor and Chairman of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. She received a B.S. in Pharmacy from SUNY at Buffalo, and earned the MS and PhDdegrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, where she has been a faculty member since 1980. She has served as Department Chair since 1988.
Sam Poloyac, PharmD PhDreceived his BS in Pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh in 1993. He then completed PharmD and PhDdegrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy in 1999. Upon completion of the PhDdegree, he joined the faculty of the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy where he has been a Assistant Professor since September 1999.
