Alumni and Friends,
Welcome to the School of Pharmacy Alumni Web site! Each year, we sponsor many exciting events to reunite you with your fellow classmates, fraternal and sorority organizations, and the School of Pharmacy. These events include Homecoming Weekend (beware of the banana splits), the annual golf outing, and Gala 2008, to name a few. For all of the upcoming events at the School of Pharmacy, please visit this Web site often and click on the ALUMNI EVENTS tab. I would also like to encourage each of you to contact fellow alumni to join us at our annual events.
As the president of the School of Pharmacy Alumni Society, it is my honor and privilege to serve the needs of our alumni and to provide opportunities for each of you to relive the memories of your college days. The School of Pharmacy continues its commitment to improving health through excellence, innovation, and leadership in education, research, patient care, and service. This commitment is evident in the School’s continued rise in the rankings as one of the top schools in the country. Personally, I am very proud to see that the School has grown in its regional and national impact every year since my graduation. If you have not been to the School of Pharmacy lately, come back and see all of the exciting changes.
One of the key ingredients in the growth of the School of Pharmacy is you, our outstanding alumni. Our School is #1 in alumni engagement at the University! Our alumni have been extremely generous with their professional talents as well as with their financial support. This financial support has resulted in endowed scholarships that provide much needed support to students, allowing them to continue their studies at our school as well as internationally. These scholarships have provided essential support to our students in need. It is your commitment and generosity that are the foundation for the continued success of the School of Pharmacy. With your help we can make 2008 our best year ever.
I want to thank the members of the Alumni Society Board for their time, involvement, and dedication to the School of Pharmacy. If you have been thinking about getting more involved in the School of Pharmacy Alumni Society, THERE IS NO TIME LIKE THE PRESENT!! By becoming a member, you will have the opportunity to reunite with your classmates, become involved with your fraternal and sorority organizations and, of course, interact with your former faculty members. I sincerely hope that you will join the Alumni Society and “give back” to the School of Pharmacy. I look forward to seeing you at upcoming events throughout the year!
