Teddi is a graduate of Duquesne University School of Pharmacy in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree. Since 1999, she has served as an Associate Clinical Preceptor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy and as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor at Duquesne University School of Pharmacy.
Dr. Gianangeli has more than eight years of pharmacy experience specializing in clinical management of prescription benefits. Her clinical responsibilities include managing the implementation and administration of pharmacy benefit plan designs to ensure quality of care for members while meeting client expectations for prescription drug cost containment. She focuses on the development of new clinical products and enhancement of existing clinical programs including Drug Utilization Review and Disease State Management. In addition, she develops and implements clinical initiatives for plan design through the processes of prior authorization, plan exclusions and formulary management. Dr. Gianangeli serves as a clinical liason for Client Service/Marketing and New Business Development as part of client account management team. Her teaching experience includes preceptor of PharmD students on clinical rotations and didactic lectures on Managed Care Pharmacy. She is also the Program Coordinator for the Prescription Benefit Management Residency. Dr. Gianangeli is an active member of professional organizations such as AMCP and ASHP.
