SCOTT M. MARK, Pharm.D., M.S., M.Ed., FACHE, FASHP, FABC is the Director of Pharmacy at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and is an Assistant Professor and Vice Chair of Pharmacy Systems at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. He holds a B.A. (University of Western Ontario), B.S. Pharmacy (Ferris State), Doctor of Pharmacy (Kentucky), M.S. Management (Ohio State), and a M.Ed. (Illinois). He completed a 2-year residency in pharmacy administration at the Ohio State University Medical Center and is a graduate of the Pharmacy Leadership Institute at the Boston University School of Management and the Wharton School Executive Management Program for Pharmacy Leaders at the University of Pennsylvania. He is Board Certified by the American College of Healthcare Executives in Healthcare Management and is a Fellow of ASHP, ACHE, and the ABC.
His recent operational focus has been on developing inpatient and outpatient clinical practice sites. His academic focus has been on developing a comprehensive pharmacy management curriculum including a management track, residency program, and masters degree. He has received awards for education, leadership, mentoring, and professional service.
Dr. Mark lectures at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy on a variety of leadership and management topics and regularly presents at state and national meetings. He publishes on a variety of pharmacy topics in professional and trade journals.
