Dr. Maslonek earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 1999 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She worked as a clinical pharmacist in the Surgery Division at Duke University Medical Center until 2005 when she accepted a position as clinical pharmacist at UPMC Presbyterian. Dr. Maslonek’s primary clinical practice site at UPMC Presbyterian is the Surgical Intensive Care Unit where she works closely with physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapies for patients requiring specialized critical care.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Maslonek serves as a Lead Pharmacist for the Department of Pharmacy where she assists with the coordination and development of clinical services at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. She also serves as an Adjunct Faculty member at the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Pharmacy and enjoys precepting students enrolled in the Doctor of Pharmacy degree program. Dr. Maslonek also serves as a preceptor for UPMC Pharmacy Practice and Specialty Residents.

Dr. Maslonek is a member of the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP).
