Current Research:

My research of interest is the evaluation of the key determinates of
pharmacokinetics/ pharmacodynamics in the treatment of critical care
patients (cardiac arrest, stroke or traumatic injury). My current
project is about the effect of clinical hypothermia on drug
metabolism. I will mainly focus on CYP450 enzyme activity changes and
related protein binding, blood flow, etc alteration in hypothermia
condition. For those anesthetic drugs and drugs commonly used in
critical ill patients, it is important to provide clear absorption,
distribution, metabolism and excretion changes with possible clinical
pharmacological outcome. Clinical study, animal study and in vitro
system are involved. HPLC, UPLC, LC/MS/MS are the equipments I use
most frequently.
