Bio:

Rima Mohammad is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy and Therapeutics of the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy and clinical pharmacist in internal medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). Dr. Mohammad received her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2004 at The James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy, University of Cincinnati. She completed her pharmacy practice and critical care specialty residency at the University of Michigan. Since completing her residency, Dr. Mohammad has been a faculty member at the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy and the Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy, Long Island University. She has been a faculty member of the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy since 2009. She is the program director of the UPMC Post-Graduate Year 2 (PGY2) Internal Medicine Pharmacy Residency. She is a board certified specialist in pharmacotherapy.

Areas of research interest include: infectious disease, gastroenterology/hepatology, and critical care. She is involved in research and published several papers in these areas. She is also interested in academic and leadership involvement and hopes to continue the advancement of the pharmacy profession through pharmacists and future pharmacists.

Currently, Dr. Mohammad is involved in professional organizations through leadership committee positions and student mentoring.
