Program: PhD
Track: Pharmaceutics
Advisor: Raman Venkataramanan, PhD

I graduated from China Pharmaceutical University with the major of pharmacy in Traditional Chinese Medicine. After graduation, I have been working in managing clinical trials for more than 7 years and I am familiar with different phases of drug development.

Now I am in the PhD program in clinical pharmaceutical scientist at School of Pharmacy, the University of Pittsburgh. I am working on pre-clinical and clinical studies to understand alteration of drug behavior in special patient population such as transplant patients, and pregnancy.

Our goal is to improve the efficacy of burprenorphine for the treatment of opioid addition in pregnancy women by understanding the pharmacokinetics of buprenorphine. I have the expertise, experience and motivation necessary to successfully carry out the proposed work. As a graduate student, I have participated a clinical research to investigate pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics of POSA suspension in LTRs. I developed a HPLC-fluorescence method to analyze POSA plasma concentration and performed PK analysis for the research. I have more than sever years work experience in managing clinical trials, including phase I to phase IV. My advisor, Dr. Raman Venkataramanan is an outstanding expert in PK study. Due to the reasons above, I am confident that my expertise experience and position have prepared me to lead the proposed project.
