Rachana Kelkar is a second year Masters student at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Pharmacy. She is currently working on a collaborative project between her lab (Dr. Wipf) and Dr. Ghazi's lab in the Department of Pediatrics, UPMC Children's Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Her research area focuses on testing small molecules synthesized in her lab for Alzheimer's disease (AD), in an invertebrate Caenorhabditis elegans. She is working on developing and establishing a robust animal model to test the same.
She graduated from Bombay College of Pharmacy with a Bachelor's in Pharmacy.
