ASHP Awards Grant for Residency Expansion

Posted on: 05/22/2012, by Barbara Belardi

Amy Seybert, chair of the Department of Pharmacy and Therapeutics, and Janet Lidner, director of pharmacy at UPMC Passavant, and the critical care faculty and pharmacists developed a plan to expand the existing critical care residency, which is affiliated with the School of Pharmacy. They were awarded a 2012-2013 Pharmacy Residency Expansion Grant from the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists for the PGY2 Critie Care Pharmacy Residency. Of the 16 hospitals that received grants for the 2012-2013 year, UPMC is one of only two hospitals to receive grants for two consecutive years.
