Clinical Pharmaceutical Scientist Program
The Clinical Pharmaceutical Scientist Program (CPSP) is a specialty PhD training program in which students with expertise in pharmacotherapeutics learn to be independent scientists in clinical and translational research. Students utilize contemporary research approaches to investigate both the clinical and mechanistic elements of drug therapy. All CPSP students are involved in human-based research as part of their thesis work. These human-based studies may include, clinical study design, investigational review board approval, and/or outcomes research. This specialty training track is available in each of the three program tracks of the PhD program, including: Medicinal Chemistry; Biomedical Pharmacology; and Pharmaceutics.

Typically, applicants for the Clinical Pharmaceutical Scientist Program have a prior advanced degree in the health sciences (PharmD, RN, etc); however, training options are available for students with Bachelor of Science degrees in science related fields.
