** The Common Core Courses are to be taken by all graduate students in the Pharmaceutical Sciences Graduate Program. The sequencing of the Core Courses depends upon whether the student enters the program in an odd or even numbered year. In addition to the Common Core Courses the student may need to complete additional required or elective courses depending upon their focus area and their particular research project. See the description of course requirements for each focus area. Students must register for a minimum of nine credits to be considered a full time graduate student by the University of Pittsburgh. Students are expected to register for 15 credits per term during each of the Fall and Spring terms of the first two years of study unless otherwise approved by the Chair of the Graduate Program Council.
