What is the minimum score requirement for the GRE test?
The University encourages a high score in this area. The average PhD student’s score is 1800+. Applicants are selected into the program by overall qualifications.
Must I take the TOEFL test and if so, what is the minimum score requirement?
You must take the TOEFL test if your native language is not English. The minimum score requirement is 550.
Is financial aid available?
All PhD students accepted in the PhD program are eligible to receive financial aid in the form of teaching assistantships, teaching fellowships, clinical scientist assistantships, research assistantships, and in some cases, research fellowships. Students generally are teaching assistants in their first year and teaching fellows in their second and third year. All supported students receive health insurance and other University benefits. The School of Pharmacy pays tuition and fees for all students receiving financial support from the school. The salary for a clinical scientist assistant is currently $30 hourly/20 hour work week.
