Graduate training consists of a sequence of required core curriculum, elective courses, journal clubs, faculty-directed research rotations, and an original research project leading to a final thesis or dissertation. Students specialize in clinical or basic research in any of three primary discipline tracks: medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutics, and biochemical pharmacology. A minimum of 72 credits must be acquired for the PhD degree. All courses are completed during the first two years of training.
