Trisha Miller received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Duquesne University in 2010. She then completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at the Hospital of Saint Rapheal in New Haven, Connecticut. Upon completion of her residency, she obtained a position at UPMC Shadyside as an ambulatory care pharmacist.
Dr. Miller currently practices at Shea Medical Center, which is an adult internal medicine practice and is certified as a NCQA level III Patient-Centered Medical Home. She also is a frequent volunteer at the Birmingham Free Clinic. Her practice and research interests include hypertension, anticoagulation, multidisciplinary care especially in the setting of cardiovascular risk reduction, and interprofessional education.
Dr. Miller serves as a preceptor for pharmacy students completing introductory and advanced professional rotations, in addition to both PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residents. She is a member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, and Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, for which she actively serves on a national committee. Beyond pharmacy, Dr. Miller enjoys reading, running, watching college basketball, and spending time with her two goldendoodles.
