Center for Clinical Pharmaceutical Sciences

The Center for Clinical Pharmaceutical Sciences is committed to improving human health through innovative translational-, clinical-, and outcomes-based research and the training of future Clinical Pharmaceutical Scientists. Through core facilities and state-of-the-art methods in analytical chemistry, clinical pharmacology, pharmacogenetics, modeling, and molecular biology, Center researchers explore the key determinants that contribute to the variability in human response to disease and drug therapy.

Our research programs are focused on optimizing drug therapy and developing novel therapeutic interventions in several therapeutic areas including critical care, immunology, infectious disease, nephrology, oncology, pharmacokinetics/dynamics, and transplantation. The expertise of faculty members within the Center is synergized by collaborations across all schools of the health sciences, including the Clinical and Translational Science Institute, thereby, creating an outstanding inter professional environment to discover approaches to improve patient care through research.
