Matthew is a Pittsburgh native and a licensed pharmacist, receiving his PharmD. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy in 2018 with a focus in research. He is pursuing his PhD. in Pharmaceutical Policy and Outcomes Research. His primary research focus is in the fields of medication safety, clinical outcomes, pharmacy informatics, and pharmaceutical policy. Matthew's primary mentor is Dr. Sandra Kane-Gill.
Matthew conducts wide-reaching real-world evidence-based research in medication safety and clinical outcomes that have significant implications for clinical practice, public health and policy, academia, and pharmaceutical industry. He incorporates a combination of sophisticated biomedical informatics and epidemiological research methods to analyze large biomedical databases. He has conducted studies related to the use of pharmaceuticals in the fields of cardiology, geriatrics, nephrology, and infectious disease.
