Dr. Yarabinec (Toale) graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Pitt School of Pharmacy in 2011. She completed a PGY-1 Community Pharmacy Residency with the University at Buffalo and VascuScript Pharmacy (Mobile Pharmacy Solutions) from 2011-2012. She then completed an Ambulatory Clinical Research Fellowship with CPL Associates in association with the University at Buffalo from 2012-2013.

Before coming to Pitt Pharmacy, Dr. Yarabinec worked as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacotherapy at the University of North Texas System College of Pharmacy in Fort Worth, TX, from 2013-2016. She was board certified in advanced diabetes management (through 2018) and is a Board Certified Geriatric Pharmacist (present).

After moving back to Pittsburgh, Dr. Yarabinec worked as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Allegheny General Hospital’s Anticoagulation Clinic from 2016-2020. She served as an advisor and a clinical and research preceptor for many wonderful PGY1 and PGY2 Ambulatory Care residents, and received the 2019-2020 Ambulatory Residency Preceptor of the Year award. In her spare time, Dr. Yarabinec worked with AGH administration and maintenance to renovate the hospital’s lactation rooms.

Dr. Yarabinec started at Pitt Pharmacy in the beginning of 2021 as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy and Therapeutics and the Associate Director of Experiential Learning. She works with pharmacy students to help coordinate their experiential rotations throughout all four years in the curriculum, and works closely with preceptors to facilitate high quality rotations. She has special interests in increasing students’ interactions with diverse populations and increasing interprofessional experiences on rotations.

Dr. Yarabinec is a Brother in Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity and is a member of AACP and PPA. While living in Texas, she worked with her Kappa Psi Brothers to establish two new chapters: Zeta Lambda student chapter, and Dallas-Fort Worth graduate chapter. Dr. Yarabinec enjoys gardening, hiking, Pitt Football, cooking, online shopping, and visiting U.S. National Parks with her husband and two children.
