Rachel Marini, PharmD
Rachel received her doctorate of pharmacy degree from Duquesne University in 2014. She then went on to complete a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at UPMC Mercy hospital followed by a PGY-2 Infectious Diseases Residency at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.
In 2016, she joined the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital pharmacy department and antimicrobial stewardship team and quickly contributed to providing excellence in patient care through various antimicrobial stewardship initiatives. Rachel leads the UPMC Presbyterian/Shadyside immunization committee and the Presbyterian pharmacy emergency response team committee.
She is passionate about optimizing patient care and ensuring patients receive the most appropriate antimicrobial regimen at the right dose, for the right duration.
