Purpose
The purpose of the Student Industry Organization is to build awareness of the opportunities for pharmacists in the pharmaceutical industry, to assist students in applying for pharmaceutical industry fellowships, and to provide mentorship opportunities between alumni and students.
Activities
- Professional speakers from current and former employees of the pharmaceutical industry
- Educational presentations by students about the pharmaceutical industry
- Mentorship program between alumni and P4 students and between P4 students to younger students
- Expanding the opportunities for APPE rotations at industry sites
- Preparation sessions designed to prepare students for summer internships industry fellowship applications and interviews
- Interactive activities that help prepare students for different roles in the pharmaceutical industry
