I am a PhD student in Dr. In-Kwon Kim's lab, studying structural biology and biochemistry. It is my pleasure to take part in many of our school’s organizations. As one of the LIGAND ambassadors in our school, it is my goal to help all prospective and current students excel both in and out of the lab. Additionally, I am the Graduate Chair of the Student Industry Organization, a member of AAPS, and Pharmacy Association of Sustainability. Outside of the lab, some of my favorite hobbies include collecting plants, running, and baking! One fun fact about me is I have a twin sister!

B.S. with Honors in Biochemistry
In the In-Kwon Kim lab, I study how Deltex E3 ligases drive resistance to PARP inhibitors. Our multifaceted approach spans biochemical assay design and advanced cellular techniques to uncover the mechanisms underlying this effect. PARP inhibitors are highly effective at treating BRCA-deficient cancers, but unfortunately most patients are prone to developing resistance. By investigating novel pathways relating to PARP1 trapping, we can identify biomarkers that may predict a patient’s likelihood to develop resistance and discover new compounds to target said biomarkers.
After I finish my studies at Pitt Pharmacy, I hope to work in the Pharmaceutical Sciences Industry, specifically in the field of drug discovery and cancer biology.
