Alec Strong is a Postgraduate Year-One (PGY-1) Managed Care Pharmacy Resident with CVS Health, where his work centers on leveraging managed care strategies to improve member access, affordability, and quality of care across the Enterprise. He earned a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Pennsylvania State University, followed by a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of North Carolina.
Alec is driven by a commitment to improving care at both the individual and population level. His residency at CVS Health provides opportunities to influence formulary strategy, optimize medication use, and support value-based initiatives that enhance member outcomes across diverse populations.
During pharmacy school, Alec served as a teaching assistant, an experience that strengthened his enthusiasm for education. He looks forward to further developing his teaching skills throughout his residency and contributing to the professional growth of future pharmacists.
