Hi! My name is Alex, and I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA (originally from Robinson Township). I received my PharmD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, where I developed a passion for direct patient care and working in an ambulatory setting. My professional interests are deprescribing, making medications more affordable for my patients, and teaching. I am passionate about treating patients who have diabetes, substance use disorder, and asthma/COPD. I am excited to continue my practice at St. Margaret Hospital to use what I call my "pharm-tuition" and, of course, enhance my evidence-based medicine skills to become a well-rounded clinical pharmacist!
Choosing St. Margaret Hospital for residency was an easy choice-when I did my first APPE rotation at one of the family health centers, I instantly felt that I could grow as a clinical pharmacist and be surrounded by a supportive interprofessional team!
