Dr. Claire Hammell earned her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences from The Ohio State University in 2021 before completing her Doctor of Pharmacy at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy in 2026. Dr. Hammell's professional interests include infectious disease, oncology, palliative care, and pain management. Following the completion of her PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency, she plans to pursue specialty training in one of her interest areas. Ultimately, her goal is to practice as a board-certified clinical pharmacy specialist with opportunities to precept future residents and students. She chose this program for its unique practice setting at the intersection of inpatient and outpatient care, helping patients transition to home recovery and utilizing collaborative practice agreements to practice at the top of her license.
