I am a master's student at the University of Pittsburgh in Dr. Velvet Journigan's lab. I am particularly interested in medicinal chemistry. Our lab aims to alleviate symptoms of cold hypersensitivity in chemotherapy patient who have used platinum based drug treatments. We hope our research improves quality of life for chemotherapy patients, as well as reduce costs and dosage limitations. In the future, I plan on going into industry to continue with drug discovery research. Outside of the lab, I enjoy weightlifting and experimenting with new recipes.

Our lab is aiming to develop a drug to attenuate cold hypersensitivity in chemotherapy patients. Our drug target is TRPM8, the receptor which gives humans the sensation of cold.
