Jiaxin Hu is a PhD student in the Biochemical Pharmacology track at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy in the laboratory of Da Yang, MD, PhD. Her research focuses on understanding the roles of RNA-binding proteins in human health and disease. Jiaxin received her M.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh in 2026 and her M.S. in Agriculture from South China Agricultural University in 2021. Before joining the University of Pittsburgh, she worked as a Research Assistant at the State Key Laboratory of Ophthalmology at Sun Yat-Sen University Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, where she studied molecular mechanisms underlying angiogenesis and ocular diseases.
