Nicole Bodnar, PGY-1 Managed Care Pharmacy Resident UPMC Health Plan: I developed an interest in managed care during my time as a pharmacy intern, where I experienced the supportive, growth-oriented environment, and the exceptional teaching from preceptors and team members that the health plan had to offer. These aspects solidified my desire to return as a resident, where I am looking forward to expanding my knowledge across areas of managed care I have not yet had experience in (formulary management, prior authorizations, etc). My interests are centered around contributing to projects and research that drive value-based care and improve patient outcomes. Outside of pharmacy, I really enjoy working out, as well as finding new recipes to cook! bodnarna@upmc.edu
