High School Students
Our program is not a direct admitting program. Students complete 60-62 credits of prerequisite courses as undergraduates (typically in 2 years) prior to entry into the 4-year professional doctor of pharmacy program. During the second year in college, students apply for admission to the PharmD program through the centralized pharmacy application (PharmCAS).
From high school, individuals apply for admission to the University of Pittsburgh as first-year students through the Office of Admissions. Individuals who select pharmacy in the Guaranteed Admissions Program drop-down box on the Application for Undergraduate Admissions will be considered for the guarantee as part of the comprehensive individual review for admissions conducted by the University of Pittsburgh Office of Admissions.
