We are excited that you are interested in pursuing a career in pharmacy by earning your Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Pitt Pharmacy!

High school students will start with an application for admission to the University of Pittsburgh as first-year students through the Office of Admissions. Although we are not a first-year admitting program, we are happy to talk with you.

Applicants will select the Dietrich School Arts and Science as the first-year admitting school on the Pittsburgh Campus and general admissions to the Pitt Johnstown, Pitt Greensburg, and Pitt Bradford.

Individuals who select pharmacy in the Guaranteed Admissions Program drop-down box on the Application for Undergraduate Admissions will be considered for the pharmacy guarantee program as part of the comprehensive individual review for admissions conducted by the University of Pittsburgh Office of Admissions.

Pitt Pharmacy offers Guaranteed Admissions at Pittsburgh, Pitt Johnstown, Pitt Greensburg, and Pitt Bradford.

Once admitted to Pitt, complete 60-62 credits of prerequisite courses as undergraduates (typically in 2 years) [link to prerequisite courses coming soon]

In the second undergraduate year, interested applicants will apply for admission to the PharmD program through the centralized pharmacy application (PharmCAS). [see Apply page for more information]
