Ying Xue is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy and Therapeutics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. Dr. Xue earned her PhD from the Fudan University, School of Medicine (China), and she completed her clinical training in the Zhongshan Hospital.

Dr Xue’s interests focus on clinical outcomes research and data mining analytics. In addition to her clinical pharmacy working experience, she has acquired expertise in Pharmacometrics, System Pharmacology and PharmacoAnalytics prediction during her Postdoc training at PittPharmacy. Based on those multi-disciplinary training and working experience, she developed a unique combination of skill sets in better interpreting/understanding patient outcomes in the context of both clinical practice and pharmaceutical sciences. Her current research interests include patient outcomes analysis and personalized medication for better therapeutics. She has had over 20 publications and conference abstract presentations. Her research work is aimed to facilitate clinical decision-making to improve the efficiency, quality, and safety of medication uses.

Dr. Xue contributes to both PharmD and Graduate courses such as Health System Pharm 2, Discovering Scientific Inquiry, Computational System Pharmacology, Scholars Research Series, etc.
